The IRLinX IRL1 is a matte-black, impact resistant plastic dongle, with an RJ45 connector (EIM) on one side, and a 3.5 millimeter phono connector on the other. An IR receiver cable is included with the package. The IRL1 connects via CAT5 cables to NetStreams’ Expansion Interface Module (EIM) enabled devices, including KeyLinX* and SpeakerLinX™, and can be placed up to 65 feet from the EIM Device. The IR receiver (included with the package) can be mounted either horizontally (on top of a cabinet) or vertically (on a display or screen), providing for versatile placement options, and can receive frequencies of 38kHz or 52kHz. NetStreams IRLinX is plasma-friendly, meaning it can be mounted on or near a plasma display without causing or receiving excessive interference. IRLinX enables IR control of the DigiLinX system, including volume up and down, and source selection, and allows for the pass-through of IR transmissions from a source remote, via an Audio Port AP500, to a local source when connected. Additionally, IRLinX can pass through IR from a source or universal remote to the currently selected legacy source, in a different room or zone, allowing for easy one-remote control of the entire system. With network IR pass-through, NetStreams digitizes the IR signal, encodes the data into TCP/IP packets, and then decodes the IR at the source location to repeat to the source. It doesn't matter where the source is located, with IR pass-through NetStreams can transport your IR signals where they need to go. IRLinX is designed to be easy to install and offer flexible mounting options. Small and light, the IRL1 can be hung inside a wall near an EIM device, and the IR receiver passed through a wall plate to its final mounting point near a display device, such as a television. In addition, the IRLinX could be mounted on the back of an audio cabinet, rack, or display device for easy access. Offer your customers a truly flexible multi-room, distributed audio system with full IR control capabilities. And that's just the beginning.
