Vision²® WMV Reflector License
OVERVIEW
The WMV Reflector License allows customers to add WMV reflector capability to their existing Vision² server. This enables them to take a unicast WMV stream and re-transmit it as a multicast stream in order to minimize the amount of bandwidth used for live video streaming.
COMMON APPLICATIONS
Corporations want to stream live video to desktops in a bandwidth friendly manner. Taking a unicast WMV stream (from a WMV encoder such as the V2-2000-WMV) and retransmitting it as a multicast stream limits the bandwidth consumed on the network to a single stream even though there are many viewers of that stream.
