Use TekPatrol to monitor devices such as video projectors, plasma and LCD monitors from Sony, Hitachi, Panasonic, Sharp and many other manufacturers.
TekPatrol is a Client/Server device management and control tool that uses both hardware and software to monitor and control a device over the campus IP network. Hardware installed at the monitored device provides real-time monitoring using a mini-control system called TekMonitor. A software application called TekPatrol gathers information from the TekMonitors and displays it in an easy to read format on an administrator's PC. By having a mini-control system monitor a device improves reliability and allows for all types of other equipment to be monitored, not just projectors made by a single manufacturer.
Another benefit of the TekMonitor is its ability to monitor equipment by itself, send email notifications and usage reports to the administrator, or send a security email if the device becomes disconnected. Each server is programmed using the TekWizard software application which makes it easy to include room and device driver information.
To control a device, TekPatrol incorporates a software application called TekControl. This application runs from a PC located in the room with the monitored device. Unlike other device controllers that use a Web browser to control the device, TekControl is a secure software application.
